Rejoice, permalinks!

A nice, new NYtimes.com feature, via redfox:

  1. Go to any nytimes.com article.
  2. Click on "Share"
  3. Choose "Permalink"
  4. Rejoice!

To link to this article from your blog, copy and paste the url below into your blog or homepage. Using this link will ensure access to the article, even after it becomes part of the NYT archive.

I believe this has been there since they added the little "Share" box in early December. And I'm glad they added it since it's a lot easier than running articles through the New York Times Link Generator.

Yeah, I remember noticing the little Share box but I never actually tried to use it until Red pointed the Permalink stuff out. It is definitely handy.

It is great. Whether its his doing or not, I'm still mentally giving credit to Khoi for doing it.

I just tried this for a December 31 article, and the permalink redirects to the select.nytimes version. Bah.
